BRIGHT VIEW

Golden Dome Stable's broodmares and foals spend most of their formative time at Bright View Farm located in historic Chesterfield Township in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Bright View, a 270 acre farm with gently rolling fields and pastures, was acquired in 1975 by the Connelly family and is now owned and operated by Christine Connelly. She is assisted in the day to day operations by Dee Stillwagon, the broodmare manager, and a capable staff, which coordinate the foaling, breeding, care and development of the offspring through their yearling year.

The racing performance of horses who have been foaled and raised at Bright View speaks volumes about their ability to do things right. The daily handling and appropriate amount of discipline given to young horses effectively prepares them for their next stage of development. In fact, farms receiving yearlings from Bright View are lavish in their praise about their demeanor and readiness for training.

Among the racing notables who began their careers at Bright View Farm are Stakes performers Wistful, Just Smashing, Bill Wheeler, Get Permission, Allemande, Riomundo, Margaret's Number, Luminaire, Judaire, Josalee, and Spellbinder to name just a few.

Golden Dome Stable only dreams that some of their New Jersey bred foals can someday be added to that prominent list of horses who have been foaled and lived their formative years at Bright View Farm.

HEDGEWOOD FARM (Please click on the farm name to visit their website)

The Harris' of Golden Dome Stable often turn to Tom and Carson Asbury of Hedgewood Farm for advice on those issues which require the experience which only generations of good horsemen can provide.

Hedgewood Farm, located in Lexington, Kentucky, prides itself in its hands-on attention to each horse entrusted to them. Every season, Hedgewood handles broodmares from out-of-state who are to be bred to Kentucky stallions. After confirmation that a mare is in foal and given sufficient time to assure fetal viability (60-90 days), the mares are vanned back to Bright View for mid-late gestation and foaling. The professionalism of Hedgewood Farm assures that the entire process proceeds without problems.

For those mares which don't shuttle back to other states, Hedgewood Farm maintains fields of Kentucky bluegrass for stress free management of the pregnant mares and eventually their foals. Weanlings are raised to yearlings and ultimately offered for sale at one of the Kentucky yearling sales, which are renowned around the world.

As a consignor, Hedgewood prepares young horses to bring top dollar at the sales. They also consign horses for the 'horses of all ages' sales in Kentucky. Golden Dome Stable has utilized Hedgewood Farm for this service with good results in the past.
